This Hand Built wheelset utilizes traditional and reliable wheel build techniques in order to make wheels that could withstand a fair amount of abuse and also would look modern and sharp.
Two classic colors – BLACK & WHITE – will compliment a bike with almost any color. But the real beauty is in the detail or should I say in components that were used for this build
DT SWISS pushed the limits when engineered the lightest yet most reliable hubs in their liner. 180 HUBS have carbon fiber center section with alloy flanges and ceramic bearings that have lower rolling resistance. Thus you have wheels with a superbly rolling hub.
To make things even more exiting the hubs were laced with a DT Competition (white for front and black for the rear) double butted spokes on VELOCITY A23 rims and locked with a black DT PROLOCK brass nipples.
VELOCITY A23 rims utilize interesting design philosophy which allows to experience the ride qualities of tubular tires while having the convenience of clinchers.
Selected components allowed to build a reliable wheelset with added security from using a standard number of spokes. Also, the rear wheel comes with an offset rim design thus helping to balance a spoke tension and that translates into a stronger wheel.
So here we have a high quality, sharp looking, still lightweight but also very reliable wheelset that can be used equally for your racing or training rides.
NOTE: white colored spokes has a minimal paint scratch at the points where they cross. Due to cross lasing pattern that is impossible to avoid although it was kept to a minimum and you can observe it only with a close inspection. When looking at the wheel from the distance it is barely noticeable.
